Murphy Builds Metal Arbor for City of Smyrna
This spring (2006) Murphy was hired by the City of Smyrna to build a custom arbor to go over the entry sidewalk to the park adjacent to the community center. This arbor was especially difficult to build due to the change in elevation and curvature of the sidewalk. The Arbor is a key piece in Smyrna's park that is often used by residents for weddings and other events. Murphy's talents include welding and fabrication in steel. Murphy loves to create unique pieces by combining elements that she sells in her garden center. Fell free to discuss your custom design in steel with her if you have an idea. She is happy to work with interior designers and decorators to come up with original pieces.

She has been doing great and mom has fully recuperated and returned to work part time at Murphy's Garden Art. We can already see that Kiera loves to be outside and enjoys being carried through the garden. She seems to enjoy the light beaming through the giant oak tree leaves. She is sure to become a garden enthusiast like the rest of her family.

Murphy begins new series of original copper art fountains
Murphy has created a line of original copper water features where no two are exactly the same. They arose out of many request for small water features for small spaces that make lots of noise. The resulting designs are beautiful abstract impressions of copper flowers consisting of small, medium and large copper tubes emanating from a central pump. The twisted and contorted pipes direct water back into a large ceramic dish or bowl at the base so that it can be re-circulated. The sounds are subtle and relaxing and the pieces themselves are elegant and unique. They come in several sizes and can be made to meet special requests. Come by and see one or order your own.
